Detailed description

Under these conditions is where old grapes, with their deep roots, tend for themselves in order to find humidity in underlying layers and so an extra quality is contributed. 2009 was a tough years because of a severe drought. In such conditions our vineyards resisted much better than than the ones in the area in which they were raisinification takes place without maturing. At the beginning of September started a very fast increaseof sugars what precipitated harvest. The grapes have got loose bunches and smaller berries.

Making

Stalking and previous maceration. Fermentation with its own yeasts, soft pumping. Malolactic inside a tank, aging of ten months in French oak barrel of different applications and sizes according to every plot. Assembling takes place in tanks up to bottling without clarification, filtering and sulfating in November 2011.

Tasting Note

A very fresh and aromatic wine which faithfully represents the Moradas garnacha-terruño spirit.

Very stable cherry colour along time. Very varietal garnacha, floral flavors, fruits like caramelized apple, black as puma low, scrubland with many balsamic and with a very mineral background characteristic of granite soils, prevailing variety over subtle wood. A very long end and great permanence in mouth is a characteristic of the garnachas on these pure granite sands.
