Detailed description
Features
Fin de Siglo winaries presented their red wine XIII Lunas as a nowadays wine and easy to drink. It is a nowadays wine because of its fruity intensity, its juiciness and that right point of sweetness, enough to charm and easy to drink, really easy to drink. It is a balanced wine, alcohol perfectly embedded, honest and open. A modern wine but with its own seal of provenance : La Rioja Alta.
This a modern Rioja wine, with nerve, body and structure but with a classic soul, very appealing, drinkable and elegant.
Making and Ageing
The red wine XIII Lunes is made wine garnacha and tempranillo grapes, grapes from vineyards planted at the Najerilla Valley, in the sub-area of La Rioja Alta, and its provenence tinges unmistakably its character.
Fermented inside a stainless steel tank and ageing of 12 months inside 225 litres french and american wood barrels. This is equivalent to the 13 Moon cycles.
Tasting
Ruby red colour with vermillion reflections, shiny.
In nose is dense and enveloping, with barrel ageing aromas integrated with fresh notes of red fruits deriving from Garnacha and Tempranillo.
In mouth is fresh, harmonic, silky, with a delicate tannic strucutre and elegant. Frank bouquet in mouth, a reflection of the nose.
Right for having always a bottle at home to open, in any occasion, a red wine alive and with a good evolution in the bottle.
